Justine Fowlkes Smith

Justine Fowlkes Smith passed away on August 27, 2017, following a brief illness. She was ninety-two years old. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Faith Fowlkes. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, James Forrest Smith.

Justine leaves behind 3 daughters, Dale Levenson, Cheryl Espenlaub and Missy Rhino, and 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and her brother Buddy Fowlkes and his wife Vicki. Her entire family and those who knew and loved her will miss her.

She was laid to rest along side her husband in a private ceremony at the Georgia National Cemetery with Patriot Guard Riders standing in honor in a flag line.


The family requests that contributions be directed to the Collins Memorial Methodist Church Food Bank, 2220 Bolton Rd NW, Atlanta, GA 30318.  Condolences can be left for the family at www.GeorgiaFuneralCare.com.
