William DanielBenedict, age 87, passed away peacefully in his home on December 9, 2017.William was born July 21, 1930 to Myron and Sarah Benedict in Boone Grove,Indiana. William was the youngest of 5 children. He is survived by his wife of58 years Barbara, his three sons and their wives Brett and Lynda Benedict, Bartand Laura Benedict, and Brian and Susanne Benedict. He is also survived by 7grandchildren Ethan, Natalie, Mario, Gavin, Oliver, Kurtis, and Katheryn; alongwith his sister Maxine Gruel.

He graduated from Boone Grove High School in 1949. For 35 years he pursued hispassion to build and create in a career as an Ironworker. He loved walking andconnecting the iron of the structures that created the infrastructure of thenation. After a forced early retirement due to an auto accident he dedicatedhis time to his family. In his later years he loved working around the house,especially in the garden creating a space to watch the wild birds.

The family will be holding a memorial service to celebrate William’s life on January 13th from 1pm - 3pm at Georgia Funeral Care located at 4671 S. Main St., Acworth, GA 30101.
