Patricia (Pat) Ann Hartwig, 82, passed away peacefully at Tranquility Kennesaw Mountain hospice care on November 5, 2021. Pat was born in Durham, NC on November 30, 1938. Her parents were Charles Evans Michaels and Fronnie Lanell Riggs-Michaels. She was preceded in death by her sister, Lillian M. Michaels-Meshaw, and her devoted husband, John Arthur Victor Hartwig. 

She is survived by her brother, Ronnie Hugh Michaels of Charlotte, NC; her two children, Diane Marie Hartwig of Marietta, GA and John Arthur Hartwig (Tracy) of Venice, FL; grandson, Adam John Hartwig of Athens, GA and granddaughter, Katelyn Dianne Hartwig of Statesboro, GA. 

For most of her working career, she was employed by the Atlanta Merchandise and Gift Marts until she retired in 2014. She was active in her church and loved the Lord. She enjoyed traveling, the outdoors, and spending time with her friends and family- especially her two grandchildren. 

A celebration of Pat’s life will be held on Tuesday, November 30th – visitation will be from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm followed by a service at 1:00 pm at the Georgia Funeral Care located at 4671 South Main Street, Acworth, GA 30101.
