Leonard Carl Bricker

Leonard Carl Bricker was a son, brother, husband, father, uncle, friend, and pawpaw. Leonard passed at the age of 75 years old on January 3, 2021. He passed surround by loved ones in Cartersville, Georgia.  

Leonard was born, July 19, 1945 in Newark, Ohio to the late George and Ida Bricker. Leonard was a stern, loving, but sometimes a hardheaded man. He spent most days in the basement where he would make jewelry boxes and other beautiful creations. His woodworking skills were self-taught and perfecting over hours of practice. He enjoyed making jewelry boxes for his wife, children, and grandchildren. You could always count on a secret drawer somewhere or a cute little reindeer. When not, woodworking you could find him, on his 1952 8n Ford tractor in the yard. If Leonard could have drove around the world on that tractor, he most definitely would have but most of the time he was cutting the yard and quite possibly the neighbors. 

Leonard served 2 years in the United States Army where he was stationed in Germany. He then married Clara May on November 9, 1974. They enjoyed 48 years of love for one another. Their love was strong and endless. Through the good times and the bad times, the love they had for one another never failed. 

Leonard’s life will forever be cherished in the lives of his loved ones, which include his children Tami Wallace and Bruce Bryan (spouse), Tracy Ledbetter and Lynn Ledbetter (spouse), Debbie Alexander, Bryan Bricker, and Angela Bricker (spouse), and Jeanise Jackson. His Grandchildren, Kasey Wallace, Bobby Barnes, Tracy Wallace, Chris Jones, Brandon Wallace, Victoria Wallace, Sierra Bryan, Matthew Bryan, Meghan Bryan, Mandi Williams, Joel Williams, Sara Ellis, Nicholas Ellis, Samantha Mobley, Billy Mobley, Josh Ledbetter, Kendall Bennett, Justin Ledbetter, Samantha Ledbetter, Emily Ledbetter, Justin Jackson, Chelsea Jackson, Jared Jackson, Timmy Price. His Great grandchildren Payton Cason, CJ Cason, Jackson Jones, Penelope Wallace, James Alexander, Lexy Alexander, Dalton Alexander, Patrick Alexander, Cole Williams, J.C. Williams, Bailey Williams, Ava Ellis, Ryan Mobley, Olivia Ledbetter, Evelyn Ledbetter, Joshua Jr Ledbetter, Jaxon Ledbetter, Natalie Jackson, and several Nieces and Nephews. Leonard is joined in heaven by his parents George and Ida Bricker, his sisters Georgia Weitzel, Wilma Moran, Louise Cole, Shirley Baumgartner, and Marie Carpenter. As well as his brother Walter Bricker and his three great grandbabies Shiloh Bryan, baby Williams, and baby Jackson.  

Leonard’s wishes were to be cremated. There will be no funeral or services at this time. His wife and family will gather to honor his life when the family can all be together.  The family would like to thank everyone for their messages and condolences during this time.
