Loleta (Robins) Platt passed away on August 4, 2019, at the age of 76. She was born on November 27, 1942 in Nassau, Bahamas to the late John Alphonso Robins and Iva Louise (Cunningham) Robins. Deeply devoted to her faith, Loleta was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister who was known for her very charitable and generous nature. She was always willing to give of her time and resources if it would help others.

Loleta moved to Brooklyn, New York from Nassau, Bahamas in the early 1960’S, where she met the late Johnnie James Platt. They married and together raised three beautiful daughters. In the early 1970’s, the family moved to Newark, New Jersey where she later became a US citizen.

In 1992, Ms. Platt relocated to Metro Atlanta, where she had resided for the past 27 years. During those years, Loleta held positions in the healthcare and childcare industries as well as connecting with people through Avon and a position at Macy where she worked part-time with over 20 years of service. Loleta will always be remembered for her loving smile, her open arms, and her large heart. Ms. Platt was a devout Catholic who worshiped as a member of St. Jude’s Catholic Church in Sandy Springs, GA.

Loleta is preceded in death by her brother Kenneth Robins and her daughter Gwendolyn Fagan. She is survived by siblings: Sesley (& Coleman) Darville, Sidney (& Mae) Robins, Dorothea Robins, Christine Archer, Kendall Robins, Philip Robins, and Bernadette Robins.

Loleta is also survived by daughters: Joyce Davis and Lavonne (& Gregg) Walker; eight grandchildren: Brittani Fagan, Tyrene (& Ernest) Benjamin, Steven Davis Jr, Gabrielle Fagan, Daryl Fagan Jr, Chayce Walker, Jordan Davis, and Jadyn Walker; five greatgrandchildren: Shaniya Warren, Caleb Benjamin, Indiya Robinson, Casey Benjamin, and Supira Warren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, son-laws and friends.

In lieu of a funeral service, there will be a Celebration of Her Life Memorial at 6:00 PM on Friday, August 9th at 4235 Carillon Trace Kennesaw, GA 30144.
