Miroslava was born in Quito, Ecuador on July 24, 1951 to Cumanda Ubillusand Galo Torres De la Torre (both deceased). She developed a love for dance atan early age and was a professional ballet dancer in Quito, beforeimmigrating to the United States in 1973. Her life in the U.S matched herenergy and passion for dance, fashion and friends.

It was during a night out dancing with her close girlfriend that she metthe love of her life, and her only husband, Dan Young. Their marriage would bea true love story that found them sharing exotic travel, beautiful beaches, their shared loved of music, fine wine, cooking gourmet meals and sharing thehome they loved with family and friends.

Style was immensely important to her. So important that she would not showher face outside of her bedroom door in the morning without lipstick, mascaraand earrings on. Just ask anyone who ever spent the weekend how gorgeous shewas in the morning. Her beauty and style did however, cause her to run late ondinner plans yet it was always worth it. Miroslava was always a showstopper, even though she never wore any colors except black and white. She loved wearingnoticeable earrings and crosses. Only those close to her knew how trulybeautiful she was inside.

When it came to friends and laughter, Miroslava had a limitless supply.People were drawn to her beauty and sophisticated style, but kept coming backfor her open heart and never ending optimism. "Miroslavita" never hada bad word to say about people and she was the 'ambassador of the family'guiding us to see the best of one another.  She was a fierce defender ofher family and closest friends. She will be missed beyond words.
