Patricia Jeanne Caswell died peacefully of natural causes August 24, 2018, at her home in Acworth, GA. She was born March 17, 1942 in Morris, IL, the daughter of Raymond Crase and Thelma Kascir.

Patricia graduated from St. Francis Academy in Joliet, IL. She married James Lee Caswell on August 31, 1963. Together they raised 5 children. After many years as a homemaker, Pat founded and operated North Metro Travel and Event Planning in Kennesaw, GA. While being a homemaker and then business owner, Patricia spent much of her time volunteering for causes and with organizations for which she was passionate. She was an active member of the Council of Catholic Women in the Joliet, IL Diocese and Savannah, GA Diocese, as well as with the National Council of Catholic Women in Washington, D.C. She faithfully served the parishes of St. Mary’s in Minooka, IL, Holy Spirit in Macon, GA, and St. Catherine of Siena in Kennesaw, GA. Patricia was a prayerfully committed volunteer to Birthright of Joliet, IL and the National Right to Life committee. She was instrumental in the opening of the Joliet Diocese Life Office. Pat was also heavily involved in her children’s academic and extracurricular activities. Most notably, she served as PTA President of Southwest High School in Macon, GA, where she successfully rallied to have air conditioning installed in non-airconditioned classrooms. Patricia enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, traveling, attending mass, bowling, dining out and playing cards.

Patricia was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Crase, and her mother, Thelma Kascir. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, James Lee Caswell; her children, Tom Caswell of Atlanta, GA, Kathy (Tim) Woodard of Byron, GA, Cindy (Zack) Dozier of Macon, GA, Jim Caswell of Dallas, GA, Chris (Greg) Caswell Ray of Macon, GA; her grandchildren, Valerie (Rick) Lawrence, Sarah (Chase) Hodges, Emily (Tracey) Eubanks, Kelsey Dozier, Elizabeth (Will) Mullis, Bethany Newell, Grace Brown, Sydney Brown, Jacob Moye; and her great grandchildren, Savannah, Allison and McKenzie Lawrence, Jameson Mullis, Emilia Hodges, and Watson Eubanks. Pat is also survived by 9 siblings, many cousins, many nieces, and many nephews.

A funeral mass will be held Thursday, August 30, 2018, at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 1618 Ben King Road, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Mass will start at 1:30 PM. Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 29, 2018 from 6 PM to 8 PM at Georgia Funeral Care, 4671 South Main Street, Acworth, GA 30101.
