Sheila Elrod Carroll, died September 25, 2021, in Acworth, GA at the age of 66. Mrs. Carroll is survived by her daughter, Melissa Kromer (Ken) Acworth, GA; son, Brad Carroll (Candace), Canton, GA, Brother Gary Elrod, Virginia Beach, VA, sister Renee Height, Marietta, GA. 4 grandchildren Reece, Keating, Archer and Sadie, many in-laws, nieces, and nephews. She was born May 11, 1955, in Marietta, GA to Grady and Pauline Elrod. She graduated from Wheeler High School in 1973, and held numerous jobs throughout her life, the last being a school bus driver for Cobb County Schools. On November 8, 1975, she married David Carroll. Four years later welcomed their daughter Melissa and in 1982 their son Brad. Sheila was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was an active member of the East Cobb Baptist Church, where she played the piano for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband David, parents Grady and Pauline Elrod, and brother Craig Elrod. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, and all who knew her. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 2, 2021, at 3:00 pm, at Piedmont Church in Marietta, GA.
