I had several uncles, but Uncle James was my favorite. When I was a child he looked out for me and was always there if I needed him. It was a great comfort to me. He was a fine man. Reply to this comment

Thanks Larry. Looking forward to seeing you and Madlen Saturday. I clearly recall a conversation you and I had about Dad some time ago, and it just makes me all the more honored to be able to call him "Dad".

Thank you Cheryl. I know you have shared many times about the strikingly similar details you experienced with your Mom, as well as the loss of your husband not so many years ago. Thanks for the many encouraging conversations we have had regarding Dad.

Hey there Engineering Bentley!! Thanks for being such a rock solid co-worker and friend. Your prayers for comfort must have been heard because we truly are at peace with Dad's passing, and are joyful that he no longer has to continue battling Dementia, which he had been sorely losing, as well as the debilitating effects of the stroke.
