Jane Hevner

Jane Hevner passed away peacefully on April 27, 2020 in Marietta, GA but resides in DeLand, FL. Mrs. Hevner was born on May 7th, 1927 in Washington D.C. to Thomas and Laura White. She was one of six children. She grew up in the D.C. area where she met the love of her life, Bill Hevner. They were married in 1947 and went on to have two children, Billy and Janie. Jane loved to sew, crochet and cook. She even taught herself how to play the piano. In her later years, she loved to spend time on social media to stay connected to her grandchildren and her friends. You could always count on Grammi to be your biggest fan on Facebook and Instagram. Her family paid this tribute to her, "Mom was one of the kindest people you could ever meet. She never knew a stranger. Her heart was as sweet as her pies and everyone that knew her would say 'wherever she was, felt like home.”  Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Bill and her son, Billy. She is survived by her daughter, Janie Hevner-Jackson of DeLand, FL, her daughter-in-law, Janice Hevner of DeLand, FL, her grandson, Brett Jackson of DeLand, FL and her granddaughter, Megan Hevner of Brookhaven, GA.
