Lamar Adrian Hurst

Lamar Adrian Hurst of Acworth passed away Friday, May 21, 2021. He was born February 12, 1976 in Jacksonville, Florida, the son of Jack and Juanita Hurst.

Lamar was a talented chef, loving father, devoted son and loyal brother. He had a lifelong passion for music, cooking and soccer. His love of these activities influenced his family and friends.

Lamar was unique in his ability to stand alone, but loved the closeness of his family and friends. He was someone you could always count on. He will be remembered in times of laughter and tears. Lamar left us too soon, but made all of us better for having known him.

Lamar is survived by a daughter, Adrianne and grandson Daniel; brothers Joshua and Kyle; sisters Katharine Greenwood and Elizabeth Snyder; two nieces and a nephew and paternal grandparents Jack and Myrna. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Ralph and Ina Rathman.

A Memoriam will be held on Thursday, May 27 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Cowan Historic Mill, 4271 Southside Drive, Acworth. Cards or flowers can be sent to Georgia Funeral Care, 4671 S. Main St., Acworth, Georgia 30101.
