Our precious Mother, Rosa E. DeVargas, was taken home by our Savior on Saturday, January 22, 2022. She devoted her life to our Savior and her children. She is now reunited with her husband Malaquias (Mike) for all eternity. Rosa lived a wonderful full, blessed life and had just turned 89 years old. She was born to Andrea and Victor Martinez on December 30, 1932 in Vallecitos, New Mexico. She married her husband Malaquias DeVargas August 26, 1950.
She leaves behind many family members who will miss her greatly.
She is survived by her daughter Rosa Marie Roybal, (son-in-law, Steven Roybal); daughter, Katherine Torres; daughter, Cindy LoPresto (son-in-law, Robert LoPresto); son, Anthony DeVargas (fiancé, Summer Paul); daughter Dolores DeVargas (son-in-law, Virgil Hughes, ll); son, Johnnie DeVargas (daughter-in-law, Victoria DeVargas.)
Grandchildren: Steven, Patrick, Stefano, Michael, Nicholas, Ashley, Dex, Karlee, Taydan, Hannah; Great Grandchildren: Natasha, Sophia, Evan, Steven, Jayden, Liliana, Isabel
She was faithful to the Lord, she led a life that touched others with her kindness and generosity. She served in her church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she was baptized at eight years old. She loved to sing, dance, garden, the outdoors, road trips, she would make things as fun as possible along the way in life. Her love for us will always live on.
