Theron Ray "Gerry" Johnson

Theron Ray "Gerry" Johnson was born in Craig, Colorado on October 22, 1946. He served in the Air Force for 26 years, including two tours in Vietnam and one tour in Thailand. He retired in Atlanta, GA in 1989 and put down roots in Marietta. He went on to work as an air traffic controller at several local airports, and when he was unable to continue, he worked in the field of FAA flight procedures until his death. He loved his family and friends, his dogs, old westerns, Alabama football, and aviation. He will be remembered for his kindness, willingness to help people, and his wicked sense of humor.

Gerry is survived by his wife, Terri, his children, Kris, Kim, and Tracy, and all of his grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Gerry's memory to the American Lung Association or the American Heart Association.
