Tice Lee Lancer II, 48 of Kennesaw passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2022. Lee was born October 8, 1973, in Richmond, VA, and met the love of his life, April, while working at Arby’s.  He asked and asked April out on a date but was repeatedly turned down. Until one day, while on lunch break from work, April came in to eat. Lee again asked her out, and a bit exhausted from the continuous asking, April said if you’ll stop asking, I’ll go to dinner with you. Lee was so excited that he literally jumped the counter and asked her if she was serious. They went to dinner on March 17th, St. Patrick’s Day.  It must have been the lucky day for love because 3 years later they were married. Through life and its ups and downs, they celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary on August 28, 2021.

He was in restaurant management for more than 25 years, most recently as a General Manager for Arby’s.  He was preceded in death by his father, Tice Lancer, and mother, Evelyn Lancer, both of Woodstock.

He is survived by his wife of 10 years, April of Kennesaw, his sister Kimberly Gibson and her fiancé, Bill Eagan both of Woodstock, his nephew Brian Gibson and his wife Meagan, and the most perfect great-niece, Kayla, of Acworth.

Memorial Services will be held Saturday, April 9, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Georgia Funeral Care and Cremation in Acworth.  The family will receive friends from 1;00 - 2:00 pm.

Lee was my manager at Sonic in Kennesaw in 2014. He was always kind to me and made me laugh. He would still facebook message me a happy birthday all these years later. I'm so sorry to hear he's passed away. Reply to this comment

April (and family), I ,too, met Lee at Arbys many years ago. I am heartbroken having just gotten news of Lee’s passing on Facebook of all places. Lee was a special person, always happy, always thankful, always respectful and a great person to call a friend. I pray for the comfort from above for you. Tice you will truly be missed by the Arbys family. Being your Supervisor and being apart of ATL W Northwest team was an honor to have you on my team. He was so passionate about making it right. You received your wings on a special day (my birthday) Tice and I won’t every forget it. Thank you for the time spent with the Arbys family. Until next time! Go Braves! Reply to this comment

I was lucky enough to have called Lee my friend for over 30 years. We became friends when we were either 14 or 15 years old. We instantly hit it off as buddies and then we found out that our birthdays were 3 days apart and it all made sense. Lee was always the nicest guy in any room. He would do anything to help his friends and Lee didn’t know a stranger. Over the years after school, we drifted apart, but reconnected via social media. It was great to hear from him after many years. I never had the pleasure of meeting his wife, but it was plain to see that he loved her completely. Lee, I know you lived life your way and smiled the whole ride. The world lost a good man in you, but I guess God needed you more than we did here. I’ll never forget you bud. My most sincere condolences to Lee’s wife April and the entire family. My thoughts and healing prayers are with you all. Reply to this comment

Lee was like the little brother that I never had. We often would talk about work and life in general, and our hopes and dreams. I wish that I could convey how much our friendship meant and that I'm left with a huge hole in my heart. Lee was a very special person to both, Jimmy and myself. We both will always have a special place in our hearts reserved for him. Reply to this comment

Lee was a true gentleman & friend to all. I worked with him at Del Taco starting age 14 & we became friends right away. Throughout high-school he was one the most kind & caring people you could find on campus. I don't think there is a person on Earth that could meet him and not love him. My prayers are with all who know and love him, and especially April. Reply to this comment

Cyndi- thank you so much for your kind words. You were great and we both enjoyed our photos that you took as well as the person you were to us both. It means more than you know to have you fondly remember him. It means that’s one more person that he touched.

Lee, was such a great friend. Both of you have a way of making your friends feel like family...must be the honesty in all our conversations. I knew from my first visit, hanging that ceiling fan, this was going to be a friendship that I cherished. I never dreamed it would be cut short. We love you April and deeply miss Lee. Stacey- Lee knew from that first day meeting you that you were going to be around forever. He said many times that you were Jeremy‘s perfect match. He loved y’all so much. Everyone who k ew Lee knew that if he didn’t give you a hard time that he didn’t like you. That being said, you should know that you are really liked because he gave you a hard time. If that doesn’t prove it I can tell you that he did because he drove up to your house by himself (on the interstate, which he NEVER did) to help y’all do the fence. From the stories I think he helped by bringing a laugh more than building the fence. That you and Jeremy for everything!
