Charles Leslie Brewer

Charles Leslie Brewer, 84, of Lester, WV passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2024.

Born December 30, 1939, in Lester WV, he was the son of the late Albert Charles Brewer and Georgia Ethel League Brewer and was one of eight children.

Along with his parents, Charles was preceded in death by four siblings: Ronald Keith Brewer, Shelia Gay Brewer Lusk, Albert Ray Brewer, and Glenda Jeanette Brewer Kidwell. Later in life, Charles found love and companionship with Frances MacNeil, whom also preceded him in death a few years prior.

Charles was a hard worker who was dedicated to his career in construction for many years, building commercial and residential properties. Charles enjoyed reminiscing and talking about the good old days—including hunting, fishing, and woodworking. He loved to watch his grandchildren's sporting events, and he rarely missed a NASCAR race.

In his later years, Charles enjoyed filling his time with family, working puzzles, completing word searches, and playing Bingo. Some people even referred to him as the King of Bingo. He was also an avid collector of many things like trucks, cars and pocket knives, but his favorite were lighthouses.

Those left to cherish his memory are his three siblings Janice Keaton, Kenneth “Joe” Brewer, and Gary Brewer; his daughter Leanne Renae Brewer O'Meara and her husband Tim of Marietta, GA; his three grandchildren Connor Frazee and his wife Tiffany, Caitlin Frazee, and Christopher O’Meara; and his great-grandson Colson Frazee.

He also leaves behind his daughter Katherine Chicas of Beckley, WV, her son Kenneth Pittman and his wife Virginia of Sophia, WV, along with several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. In addition, he leaves behind treasured extended family and friends.

A special thanks to his wonderful caregivers at Brickmont Assisted Living in Acworth, GA. They provided him with great love and care during his years there. He loved being apart of the Brickmont family and found joy singing to the staff members.

An intimate family funeral service will be held at Georgia Funeral Care in Acworth, GA on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at 4:00 pm with Pastor Mike Linch officiating. Online condolences may be made to the family at GeorgiaFuneralCare.com.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that a donation be given to either his favorite Nascar driver Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s foundation, www.thedalejrfoundation.com or NorthStar Church’s Whatever It Takes Capital Campaign, located at 3413 Blue Springs Rd, Kennesaw, GA 30144.
