Devoted Mother and Grandmother
Gladys Pearl Morrow, 80, passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2022, surrounded by loved ones.
Gladys was born July 10, 1942, in Andrews, North Carolina to Magnolia "Nolia" and George Hartness. She was the youngest of 12 children.
Gladys was a devoted mother and grandmother and she loved her family above all else. In her free time, she enjoyed making memories with her great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed listening to Elvis and attending gospel music concerts.
Gladys was a member of Creekside Fellowship Church and loved the Lord with all her heart.
Gladys is preceded in death by her parents George and Nolia, her beloved grandson Jamie Kiser and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by her three daughters Robin Kiser, Debbie Morrow, and Shelia Ray, and one brother John (Gene) Hartness. She is also survived by her grandchildren Brooke (Phill) James, Brittney (Ben) Tyre, Kristian (Adam) Sands, Justin Ray, and Matt Ray along with 11 great-grandchildren, whom she adored.
She was known for her strength and feisty personality. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A Celebration of life will be held from 11-2 pm Friday, August 19th at Creekside Fellowship Church with Pastor Michael Abernathy officiating. Internment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers: Matt Ray, Justin Ray, Micah Turner, Adam Sands, Phill James, and Ben Tyre.
