This year marks the 15th anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks. Last year, in honor of the first responders on September 11, 2001, we wanted to give back to those who protect our community on a daily basis. This year is the second year we have fed the Acworth Police Department and local Fire Department Stations in appreciation for their dedication to serving our community.

Too many times what these first responders do is overlooked, or taken for granted, so we wanted to show them that they will be forever appreciated. We loved sitting down and talking with some of the same officers and firemen we met last year, but also enjoyed getting to meet some new people as well. We at Georgia Funeral Care cannot thank them enough for their dedication, sacrifice, courage, and service to our great community. If you see someone from your local police or fire department, be sure to take a moment to shake their hand and say thank you!
