Joan Fox

Joan Fox, 85, of Cartersville passed away on July 30. She was preceded in death by her parents Rev Jim Goddard and Eva Goddard and her brother Donnie (Doris) Goddard. She leaves behind two sisters Glenda (Gary) Tuttle and Peggy (late Bobby) Sims.

She was born and raised in Rome, GA. (Celanese Village) and graduated from Model High School in 1956. She worked in the carpet industry as a credit manager for Philadelphia Carpet (Shaw Industries) and Carriage Industries for many years before retiring at her home in Cartersville.

She stayed actively involved with her friends from Celanese and helped organize the Kids of Celanese reunion starting back in 1997.

She is survived by her sons Tony (Becky) Fox and Todd (Lisa)Fox. She has seven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and one great, great grandson. She was an active member of New Beginnings Church. She was avid Braves fan and enjoyed spring training for many years. 

Visitation will be Friday August 4th at 10am at Georgia Funeral Care in Acworth followed by a graveside service at 11:30am at Sunset Memory Gardens in Cartersville, GA.
