Marjorie Mavis (McKay) Andrus June 1, 1926 - February 28, 2024
Marjorie went to our Lord on February 28, 2024 in Kennesaw Georgia at the age of 97.
Marjorie is preceded by her Husband of 59 years Andrew Andrus and sons Charles and Frank. Grandsons Chuck Jr and Erik. She is survived by her daughter Andrea (Andrus) Redd and husband Paul. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews throughout the world.
Marjorie was also preceded in death by her parents Rudolph & Elizabeth Hoenger and 9 brother and sisters, Rudolph, Elizabeth, Nita, Roy Hoenger, and May, Jean, Harry, Joe, Matilda McKay.
Marjorie was born in Sydney, Australia and came to America as a 19-year-old. She met Andrew working at Bishop & Babcock while saving money to return to Australia. They married and lived in Euclid, Ohio until she moved to Georgia.
She will be dearly missed by all who have encountered her energy, opinions and stories of bowling, golf, gardening and her beloved Australia. A service for Mrs. Andrus will be held on Sunday, March 3, 2024, 5:30 PM in the chapel of Georgia Funeral Care, 4671 S. Main St. Acworth, GA. 30101.
