Jill Lisa Vickerman

Born Jan 19, 1966 in Charleston WV, Jill Vickerman of Marietta, GA, was called home by our Heavenly Father on May 3, 2022.

Jill is survived by her husband of 29 years, Bart Vickerman and her father John Linkenauger, both of Marietta, GA; brother JW Linkenauger (Jean) of Silver Spring, MD and sister Jana Madera (Russ) of Mount Holly, NC. Jill is also survived by her step-children Barrett Vickerman and Rachel Vickerman, by their children Brayden Stennett and Max Vickerman and by her niece and nephews Lauren Linkenauger, Jayce Madera and Christian Madera. Jill is preceded in death by her granddaughter Bailea Harrell, her son Justin Harrell, and her mother Judith Beuchert.

As many knew, Jill had an engaging personality and smile and could entertain all in her orbit. These were traits Jill put to good use in recent years as an award-winning newspaper advertising executive, realtor and online jewelry party host. Every day was a new adventure for Jill and those around her. In 2005, during her career with The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Jill achieved status on the AJC list for Salesperson of the Year having been named the recipient of the Ferguson Rood Award for Outstanding First Year Sales Achievement. In 2018 Jill decided to try her hand at real estate quickly building her listings into a thriving business. And in 2021, not one to just sit around during the pandemic, Jill began her online jewelry business entertaining any who joined Jill’s streaming sessions. Even Jill’s beloved cat, JoJo got in on the act.

Above all else, Jill is most loved and will be immensely missed as wife, daughter, sister, mother, step-mother, aunt, grandmother and most of all, cherished friend.

Please commune with us as we work through our grief in losing someone so dear to us all.

. . . A message from Bart Vickerman

Hello everyone. For those who don’t know me, I am Bart, Jill’s husband. Everyone who knew Jill knows what a wonderful human being she was. She was extremely giving and a beautiful soul. Jill had demons that she was constantly fighting. They obviously got the better of her. I would like you all to think back to the best memories of her and have you all hold onto those memories so when you think of her, that’s where your mind will take you. I was married to her for 29 years and I am grateful for all the time I had with her. It saddens me to know I will never see her again, but at least I have a lot of wonderful memories of her. I want everyone reading this to please say a short prayer for her. I know we all loved her very much and we all will miss her very much. I thank everyone for their prayers and time. I wish to share this Bible passage:

James 5: 13-15

Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise. Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned he will be forgiven.

. . . A message from Jana Madera

My sister, Jill a.k.a. Cheecho, was a master at commanding a room and filling it with laughter. She was the hilarious comedian of our family, and also a hard worker who was successful in each and every endeavor. I will forever miss my Cheecho! Thankfully, we shared many memorable moments. I love you Jill!
