Patricia G. Freeman

Patricia G. Freeman, lovingly known as Pat, Mom, Grammy, Mona and in her baby years, Patsy (a name she didn’t like at all) passed away on May 12, 2021. She was born in Woodward, Oklahoma on September 3, 1945, to Gustave and Sharline Geiser, the first of their eight children. After Pat came Mary Claire, David Eugene, Joseph, Edward, Carl and the twins, Margaret and Marie (who was blessed to have been with Pat at her time of passing). She married James P. Freeman on October 26, 1968, and together they had two daughters, Amy and Danielle. Pat is greatly missed by her husband, daughters, six grandchildren (Madeline-19, Grace-18, Nathan-17, Lea-16, Lane-10 and June-4 months) as well as a large extended family and many dear friends. She is also missed by Cooper, the stray cat she recently took in, and a plethora of birds and squirrels in her backyard that she has been lovingly overfeeding for many years. In keeping with Pat’s love of animals, the family asks that in lieu of flowers those who wish to honor her life consider a donation to Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue and Adoption where Amy currently volunteers (https://www.mostlymutts.org/support-us/donate, please mention Pat Freeman in the memo line). Pat was a devout Catholic with a generous heart and servant’s spirit. She was an active member of St. Francis de Sales church, which she supported wholeheartedly in any way she could. Her volunteer work there included creating beautiful floral arrangements for Mass and cooking meals for the clergy. Pat loved cooking, reading, learning new things and staying up all night with family and friends playing games. Pat’s life will be celebrated on Monday, May 17, 2021, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Mableton with Mass at 10:00 AM followed by a burial service at Honey Creek Woodlands in Conyers at 1:00 PM. Following the burial, a gathering will be hosted by Amy in her home at 104 Harrison Circle in Acworth, GA. All family and friends are welcome.
