Alan Allison Davitte

Alan Allison Davitte, 59 of Cartersville, Georgia, passed away from the Church Militant to the Church Triumphant on August 8, 2025, born on November 2, 1965 in Cedartown Georgia. He was the son of the late Thomas Kimsey Davitte and the late Kitty Murphy Davitte. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Lester Ellis Davitte and Randy Cochran, his dear friend and beloved father figure.

 Alan is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Rhonda Martin Davitte and their son, Bryson Davitte and his stepchildren, Hope Singleton, Colby (Codey) Singleton, Chae' (Andrew) LeMay, & his 11 sweet grandchildren, Hudson, Fisher, Brooks, Noah, Jericho, Enoch, Ruth, Miriam, Zeke, Lou, and Idun. He will also be missed by his in-laws, Ron and Brooke Martin, his sister-in-law's Robbie, (Jerry) Whitener, & Rachel, (Michael & Bella) Fisher, his niece, Brooklyn, (Josh & Blakely) Barton. Alan's best friend for 55 years, Kenneth Roper.

 Alan was a cheerful, talented and intelligent person. Alan was foremost a husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, and servant of God, raised in Rockmart Georgia. He attended Floyd and Shorter college studying music and also attended Candler School of Theology at Emory University. He was a real estate agent for many years, eventually owning a real estate business in Atlanta. In 2010, established his painting business, a profession he truly loved. Alan was an accomplished singer and musician. He performed with various groups, such as, The Atlanta Opera, Capital City Opera, Georgia Symphony Chorus, and Etowah Valley Chorale. To highlight a few of his performances, "La Boheme," starred as "Guccio," in "Buoso's Ghost," as well as performing in "Carmina Burana," "Tosca," "I Pagiacci," "The Flying Dutchman," "Cavalleria,""Nabucco," "Samson & Delilah," and many more Opera's throughout his musical and theatrical career and known for his vocal prowess. When not singing in foreign languages, he was singing in his choirs, which consisted of two churches. He worshiped in one church service, then rushed across town to sing at another. In addition to singing, he also left his mark, as an extra in the television series, "In the Heat of the Night", a highlight for him, for he loved this show. Alan will be remembered for his love and devotion to his family and friends and constantly giving of himself to others. He was also known for his clever puns and joking manner, which allowed him to meet people with ease. He sowed seeds in many lives and devotedly checked on people as one would tend a garden. Alan, also the avid gardener, took pride in plowing, sowing, tending his vegetable gardens, and always sharing his harvest with others. Being submerged in God garden, he was also a friend to God's creatures, from stray cats, dogs, birds, and even a chicken sitter. Alan Davitte will surely be missed and remembered fondly in so many communities and amongst all God's creatures great and small. "Remember, no man is a failure who has friends". A memorial service to remember and celebrate Alan's life will be held at The Cowan Historic Mill, 4271 Southside Drive, Acworth, GA 30101 Sunday, September 14,2025 from 3:00 PM till 5:00 PM with Mr. Parnick Jenning's officiating at 4:00 PM

Alan touched many people throughout his life and let's be ambassadors of his legacy. He touched many with his gifts of music, graciousness acceptance love. Let's come together and share our memories of this beautiful person Alan Davitte.
