Betty Irene Burdett Scott

Betty Irene Burdett Scott, 94 yrs , of Kennesaw, Ga, passed away on May 2nd, 2026.

Born on February 9, 1932 in Henry County Ga to George Stephen and Annie C Burdett, Irene lived a full and remarkable life. She graduated from Marietta High School, she was also a Majorette while at Marietta High School, she had an incredible work ethic sometimes working two or three jobs.

She worked for Cobb County Schools as a Sp Ed bus driver, Sears and Robuck in many positions for several decades.

She is survived by her sons William, Ricky, daughters Debbie Paschal, Pam Dupree, Cathy Watkins (Billy), Lydell Dupree, grandchildren are Dee Dee Cox, Scotty Paschal, William (Bubba)(Darla), Tiffany Dupree, William (Becky)Watkins III, Brock (Jessica) Watkins, Brooke (Duane) Loyd, Haley (Jason) Forman, Alexis (Justin) Gardner, great grandchildren are Will,Bayleigh Scott, Kensley Elliott, Kaleb Dupree, Will, Bryleigh Watkins, Hunter, Hadley, Lindley Watkins, Cathryn Loyd, Devin, Cayla Cox, Rhett, Knoxx Gardner, great great grandchildren are Cambrie, Ava,Briar Cox, Ari Holmes. Several nieces and nephew.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, sister Georgia Anne Burdett,sister Liz (Tommy) Reynolds, brother Eugene Burdett, husband William H Scott Jr, son Robin Scott, daughter in law Darlene Scott, son in law Lee Paschal.

A visitation will be held at Georgia Funeral Care in Acworth Ga on May 5, 2026 from 6pm to 8pm.

A Funeral Service will be held on May 6, 2026 at 11:00am at Creekside Fellowship Church,585 Old Alabama Road, Cartersville,Ga
