Brenda Lee Chancy

Brenda Lee Chancy, 65, of Cartersville, Georgia, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2026. Born in Tate to the late Claude and Christine Chancey, Brenda was the last of eight children. Brenda was very devoted to family and had a generous, loving heart.

Brenda spent many years working as a supervisor in various industries, where her strong work ethic was something she took pride in and was acknowledged for. She was a passionate animal lover and rescued many in her lifetime.

Brenda shared a devoted life with her current life partner and companion of 23 years, Diane Garrett, who misses her deeply.

In addition to Diane, she is survived by her sister, Julie Chancey (Curt) of Bloomfield, NE; her brother, SJ Chancey of Conyers; her sister, Faye Chancey of Cartersville; her sister, Elouise Griffith (Bud) of Cartersville; and her brother, Carl Chancey (Lisa) of Covington; her beloved nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews; and a close circle of lifelong friends who were like family to her. She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister Louise Terell.
