Cheryl Lynn Nordin

Jun 15, 1973 — Sep 2, 2026

Cheryl Lynn Nordin passed away at her home in Cartersville, Georgia, on September 2, 2026. She leaves behind many people who loved her and will miss her dearly.

Cheryl loved the Lord and believed in Jesus Christ as her Savior. Her faith was an important part of her life, and her family finds comfort in knowing that she is now with Him. While saying goodbye is incredibly difficult, those who loved Cheryl hold on to the hope and promise that they will see her again one day in Heaven.

Cheryl loved being a mother. Her sons, Hunter Nordin and Avery Nordin, were her pride and joy. She loved them deeply and treasured the time she spent with them. Watching them grow into young men and build lives of their own brought her so much happiness.

Cheryl was a kind person with a good heart. She cared about people and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved going to the movies, visiting with her sons, cheering on the Atlanta Braves, and watching UGA football. It was often the simple moments that meant the most to her, and those are the memories her family will hold close.

Cheryl also spent 10 years working at Publix. During that time, she formed friendships and relationships with many of the people she worked with. Her coworkers were an important part of her life, and she appreciated the friendships she made there.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her father, Michael Carlyle Braddock, and her mother, Gloria Jean Braddock. She is survived by her sons, Hunter Nordin and Avery Nordin; her brother, Michael B. Braddock (Cindy Braddock); her sister, Deanna Rechsteiner (Steve Rechsteiner); along with extended family, friends, coworkers, and many others whose lives she touched.

Cheryl will be remembered for her kindness, her love for her family, and the friendships she shared with those around her. She will be deeply missed, but the memories she leaves behind will always be treasured by those who knew and loved her.

Friends and family are invited to gather to remember and celebrate Cheryl's life on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Georgia Funeral Care, 4671 South Main Street, Acworth, Georgia 30101. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m.
