Claude Wayne Lee, known to many simply as Wayne Lee, passed away on September 21, 2026, in Marietta, Georgia. He was born on February 28, 1947, in Cartersville, Georgia.

Wayne will be remembered as a simple man with a quiet nature. He enjoyed keeping to himself and found satisfaction in work that kept his hands busy and his mind engaged. He enjoyed working on anything and had a gift for taking things apart and putting them back together again. A good mechanic and a true jack-of-all-trades, Wayne was known for his practical skills and his ability to fix what others might have set aside.

He is survived by his sisters, Mary Hightower and her husband, Van, Joyce Crisp and her husband, Gary, and Brenda Hardison; and by his brothers, Max Lee and his wife, Carolyn, Roy Lee and his wife, Karen, and Hayden Lee. He also leaves behind the memory and love shared with his family, who will continue to carry him in their hearts.

Wayne was preceded in death by his sisters, Peggy Dykes and Rose Hughes; as well as his brothers, Gene Lee, W. C. Lee, and Donald Lee.

Wayne Lee’s life was marked by quiet strength, steady ability, and the kind of usefulness that is long remembered by those who knew him. His memory will remain with his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
