Cynthia Greene Tribble Whitmire

Cynthia Greene Tribble Whitmire, “Cindy/Honey/Zizzy”, ran into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, January 19, 2024 at her home surrounded by loved ones.

Cindy is survived by her loving husband (“Honey”) of 35 years, William “Anthony” Whitmire. Children: Keri Trapp (Matt), Kenny Tribble (Miranda), Samantha Daugherty (Kevin), Jessica Lacy (Lonnie), and Piper Rose. Grandchildren: Brittany Mason (Dylan), Maci Trapp, Dastyn Trapp, Kensleigh Tribble, Trace Tribble, Regan Daugherty, Millie Daugherty, Taylor Daugherty, Gerit Daugherty, Dean Lacy, Kendall Lacy. Great grandchildren: Easton Mason, Sawyer Mason. Sister Deborah Terza (Norb), Brother Robert Greene (JoBeth), Godson John Joseph Terza, Special Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, and Amazing Friends.

Cindy was born to Samuel and Jimmie Greene and grew up in Dekalb and Cobb Counties, GA. She graduated from South Cobb High School. Soon thereafter she met and married Kenny Tribble, Sr., and together they lived in several states and started their family. Tragically, Kenny preceded her in death in 1987, leading Cindy and the kids to relocate back to Georgia. There, she met and married Anthony, gained her blended family, and began her educational career. She graduated with honors from Kennesaw State University and received her master’s in education from the University of Alabama. She was a teacher in the Cherokee County schools until her retirement in 2006.

Cindy was known for her quick wit, attention to detail, and heart for encouraging others. She fought the good fight, kept the faith, and has won her race! She joins her twin sister, other siblings, parents, grandparents, precious friends and many more loved ones in Glory!

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6
