Dewitt was a man whose life was shaped by deep faith, a commitment to family, and unwavering service to others.

Dewitt T Morris, fondly known as DT, passed away on July 10, 2026, in Marietta, Georgia, with his loving wife by his side. Born on March 27, 1962, in Memphis, Tennessee, Dewitt was a man whose life was shaped by deep faith, a commitment to family, and unwavering service to others.

A proud graduate of MidSouth Bible College in Memphis, Dewitt grounded his life on the teachings and love of the Lord. Those who knew him recall not only his vast knowledge of scripture but also his willingness to share his faith, being a witness wherever life led him. Immersing himself in the Word, reading his Bible and study Bibles were among his favorite activities, allowing him to nurture both his spirit and those around him.

Dewitt's professional life reflected his compassion and work ethic. In the 1990s, he served as a counselor at Teen Challenge, where he provided guidance and hope to many young lives. Later, in the mid-2000s, he channeled his dedication into his role as a Tech at Hope Quest before working in several warehouses. Dewitt was acknowledged as a hard worker, taking pride in his ability to provide for his family and deliver excellence in every responsibility he undertook.

Beyond his work and faith, Dewitt appreciated life's simple pleasures, especially moments spent with his wife, Rachel. Together for more than 40 years, their union was marked by steadfast love, support, and shared laughter. Dewitt delighted in their regular outings to "Clubbing"—their affectionate term for visits to Sam's Club and Costco—cherishing both the routine and the companionship these trips brought.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Rachel Morris; his mother, Dianne O'neal; his brother, Derek Morris, and sister-in-law Jennifer; his sister, Dana Burns, and brother-in-law Bryan as well as many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. Dewitt was preceded in death by his cherished father, Dewitt Morris Jr., whose memory he held close.

Family, friends, and all whose lives Dewitt touched remember him as a man of integrity, faith, and kindness. His presence offered warmth, his devotion inspired many, and his absence will be deeply felt.

He will be deeply missed.
