Donald Lemon Barron, a dedicated family man and accomplished self-employed painter, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at the age of 75, at Piedmont Cartersville Hospital. Born on August 13, 1949, Mr. Barron led a life marked by resilience, commitment, and love for his family and community.

A graduate of Hahira High School, Donald demonstrated a fierce dedication to his passions from an early age. Notably, he was a golden glove boxer, a proud achievement that underscored his determination and discipline. Beyond his athletic pursuits, he was a successful business owner for over 40 years, establishing himself as a respected figure in his trade.

Donald was deeply devoted to his family, finding his greatest pride in being a grandfather and great-grandfather. Known for his unwavering support, he was present at every sporting event for all his grandchildren, celebrating their achievements with enthusiasm and love. Among his cherished family are his three children: Tony and Todd Barron, and Tira Harris, all residing in Cartersville, Georgia. He is also survived by two half-brothers, Robert and Michael Martin, from Cartersville. His legacy lives on through nine grandchildren: Micah Barron, Megan Barron, Morgan Lipham, Jessica Wooten, Justin Harris, Cody Barron, Taylor Barron, and Harmony Barron, all of Cartersville. Numerous great grandchildren nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to his professional and familial commitments, Donald found joy in the outdoors, often spending time hunting and fishing—activities that brought him peace and connection to nature.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Gerald and Kelly Barron, as well as his granddaughter Jennifer Young. He also mourned the loss of his brothers and sisters, Earl Barron, Joe Barron, Gerald Eugene Barron Jr., Jewell Woody, and Brenda Martin.

Donald Lemon Barron's life was one of steadfast dedication—a golden glove boxer, a thriving entrepreneur, a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His memory will be treasured deeply by those who loved him.

The family will receive friends on Friday, June 19, 2026 at 11:00 AM until the service hour  in the sanctuary at Creekside Fellowship Church located at 585 Old Alabama Road SE in Cartersville, Georgia. A Celebration of Life will take place Friday, June 19, 2026 AT 12:00PM  at Creekside Fellowship Church located at 585 Old Alabama Road SE in Cartersville, Georgia with Mike Abernathy officiating.  

Arrangements are entrusted to Georgia Funeral Care in Acworth, Georgia. Friends and family are invited to honor his memory and celebrate his life with dignity and respect.
