Erika Nicole Carlson

Erika Nichole Carlson, 36, of Adairsville, GA, peacefully passed on December 20th, 2025, after a long bout with cancer. She was surrounded by close friends and family the days leading up to her passing. Though it was not the outcome hoped for, she fought the fight with remarkable strength, and faith. Erika was born in Atlanta, GA on April 26th, 1989 and graduated from Cass High School in 2007. Before her diagnosis she was employed at Trash Taxi in Acworth, GA. She always made lasting friendships and left a deep impact on not only her workplace, but everywhere she went. From a young age she had an enormous love for the outdoors, including hiking, fishing, and camping. Her happy place was her grandparents lake house in Kentucky where countless memories were made. She loved to bring smiles through laughter to anyone she ever met. From campfires to get togethers, she was always the life of the party. Erika loved watching her favorite football team, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, take the field each Saturday. She is survived by Nora Morrow; her mother, Susan Danna, her father, Frederick Carlson (Sandra); her brother, Nicholas Carlson (Grace); her sister, Jordan Danna; and her niece and nephew, Nevaeh and Liam Carlson, Uncle John (Tina) Pasquale. A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring with more details to come in the near future.
