Lamar Gunter

Eugene "Lamar” Gunter, aged 93 passed peacefully on Monday, October 2, 2023. Born June 8, 1930 in Marietta, Georgia. Lamar was married to Wanda Trull Gunter on December 15, 1951 and raised four children; Ricky, Randy, Ron and Terrie. Lamar obtained his certification in church music from Mercer University and was ordained into church ministry. He served as a chaplain at Kennestone hospital as well as church administrator for many years.

In addition to his four loving children, Lamar is survived by one grandson, six granddaughters, and three great granddaughters. Donations may be made in honor of Lamar to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
