Geneva Owens Robertson "Granny" Geneva was born August 12th 1958 in Kankakee, IL. Her family moved to Emerson, GA during her teenage years, where she remained a resident of Bartow County for the past 50 years. She passed away on December 29th, 2025, surrounded by family and friends.
Before retiring, Geneva worked as a cook or chef's assistant. She was well known at The Wagon Wheel, Bartow County School Nutrition and Allatoona Yacht Club. Geneva raised 3 daughters and always took pride in being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She earned the nickname "Granny" because that was the role that she played for a number of young people. She enjoyed making others happy with her country cooking. She welcomed, loved (and sometimes scolded) all of the younger generations and their friends! She was also a lifelong fan of the country group Alabama, loved NASCAR and swore that the best sound ever came from a Harley Davidson! She is preceded in death by her parents, Wade and June Plemons, her husband, Murphy "Road Runner" Robertson, her twin sister and best friend, Joyce Cabe older sister, Sharon Daughtery, and 3 nephews Hank Norman, Scotty Owens and Stacy Cabe.
Geneva is survived by her 3 daughters: Mandy (Allerick) Beavers, Brandy (Steven) Woodall and Melissa Hunt. Siblings: Carolyn Parris, Ernie Owens and brother-in-laws Ricky Cabe and Ronnie Crump .Grandkids: Jadrien Hinson, Jayda (Gabe) Hatzidakis, Caleb Hinson, Treyton Hinson, Cade Price, Gracie Bridges, Preston Bridges, Zeke Price, Griffin Woodall and Devon Beavers. Great-Grandkids: Camree and Elias Hatzidakis. Nieces and Nephews: Rhonda (Roger) Bonine, Paul Neely, Christy (Jason) Bailey, Carolyn Marie Neely, Robin (Randy) Hill, and Denise (Josh) Morgan.Along with numerous great nieces and nephews. Serving as Pall Bearers will be: Jadrien Hinson, Gabe Hatzidakis, Caleb Hinson, Treyton Hinson, Cade Price, Preston Bridges, Zeke Price, Griffin Woodall, Devon Beavers, Carson Bailey, Jacob Cabe and James Cabe.Serving as flower girls will be:Jayda Hatzidakis, Gracie Bridges, MaKenzie Bailey, Abby Bonine, Camree Hatzidakis, Reaunah Graham and Brittany Graham.
