George Clement III

George Luther Clement III, age 79, of Powder Springs, passed away on December 6, 2025. He was born on October 16, 1946, in Rome, Georgia, to the late George and Geneva Clement.

George proudly served his country in the United States Navy as a 3rd Class Petty Officer, stationed aboard the USS Kitty Hawk during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he went on to build a long and dedicated career as an inspector with General Motors.

A man of many interests, George was an avid ham radio enthusiast with a lifelong curiosity for communication and connection. He also loved cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs and spent countless hours collecting coins and fruit jars—hobbies that brought him joy and reflected his appreciation for history and craftsmanship.

George is survived by his loving wife, Brenda; his son Alex and daughter-in-law Sarah; and his treasured grandchildren, Jack and Katie. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., at Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Rome, Georgia.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations made in George’s memory to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospitals.
