Gordon "Poppie" Crosby Newell

One month ago we were blessed to celebrate Poppie's 95th birthday. Gordon Crosby Newell was someone everyone loved. This sweet great-grandfather was a loving husband who celebrated with his sweetheart, Marion, 65 years of marriage this past April; he was a wonderful father, doting grandfather, proud veteran, successful businessman, caring friend, etc. Poppie was funny and loved to joke, he was sharp as a tack and enjoyed watching sports, reading and just being in the moment.

On the evening of September 2nd, Poppie passed away. He put up the best fight of all ... he may have been ready, but we sure weren't. Don't take a moment of time or life for granted. Call your parents and grandparents, or make the drive to tell someone you love them. Share your hugs and kisses. We take comfort in knowing that Poppie's daughter, Ruthlynn, was there to welcome him to the gates of Heaven. Rest well, Pop and enjoying running around with your sweet puppy. You are so loved and missed. So grateful for the time Brady had with you.
