James Darrell Brown, affectionately known as “Dee,” passed away peacefully at his home in Atlanta, Georgia, on November 26, 2025, at the age of 64. Born on December 2, 1960, in Brooklyn, New York, James lived a life marked by resilience, hard work, and an unwavering devotion to his family.He was the cherished son of the late Andra Corinaldi and a beloved brother to Kevin Brown and Derek Brown. Above all, James was a devoted father to Yaasmeen Sandefur and a proud grandfather to Brae’ly and Rylee, who were the light of his life and brought him endless joy.James’s entrepreneurial spirit and mechanical expertise defined much of his career. Whether running his tow truck business, working as a skilled mechanic, or managing a warehouse, he approached every endeavor with integrity and dedication. His colleagues and customers admired not only his work ethic but also the kindness and respect he showed to everyone he met.Beyond his professional life, James found joy in collecting baseball cards, vinyl records, and other treasures that reflected his love of history and music. He will be remembered for his warm personality, his generosity, and his gift for bringing laughter and happiness into the lives of those around him.James was not only a family man but also a true friend to many. He had countless friends on the West Side of Atlanta, where he was known as “everyone’s buddy.” His great sense of humor, warm personality, easy smile, and ability to make people feel welcome left a lasting impression on all who knew him. James had a gift for bringing people together, and his presence was a source of joy and comfort in his community. Everyone loved him, and his absence will be deeply felt by the many lives he touched.The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Tomia, James’s devoted caregiver, whose compassion and support brought comfort during his final days.James’s legacy lives on in the love he gave, the lessons he taught, and the memories he created with family and friends.
