James "Jim" Winner

James “Jim” Winner, a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend, was born on June 24, 1951, in Warren, Ohio. Jim last resided at his home on Sassafras Trail in Cartersville, Georgia.

Jim was the beloved son of the late Raymond Winner and Hazel Knupp Winner, formerly of Stockbridge, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Raymond Winner of Escondido, California, his sister SallyAnn Faulkner of Hapeville, Georgia, and his cherished daughter, Tracy Winner Ford of Cartersville, Georgia.

He is survived by his loving children, Paula Winner Campanaro of Powder Springs, Georgia, and Dale Winner of Cartersville, Georgia. Jim was a grandfather to seven grandchildren and a great-grandfather to one great-grandchild. He was also preceded in death by two grandchildren.

Jim is survived by his siblings: Kathy Zedek of Hubbard, Ohio; Jean Wellington of Hapeville, Georgia; Larry Winner of Senoia, Georgia; and Susan Runion of Sycamore, Ohio. Family was deeply important to Jim, and he valued his relationships with them.

A graduate of Hubbard High School in Ohio, Class of 1969, Jim carried a strong work ethic throughout his life. He retired in 2004 from the Coca-Cola Company in Atlanta after many years of dedicated service. Not one to remain idle, he later worked with Ellis Enterprises in Cartersville, retiring again in 2017.

Jim was a faithful member of Marietta First Church of the Nazarene, where he found fellowship, spiritual grounding, and comfort.

Jim will be remembered for his quiet presence and love for his family. His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched and the family he cherished so deeply. He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.
