Jim Graves

Jimmy (Jim) Graves, age 80 passed away peacefully at home on May 9, 2025. Jim was born in Rising Star, Texas; he was the son of the late Samuel Graves and the late Tommie Graves. He moved to Atlanta as a young child. He is survived by his beloved wife and best friend of 41 years, Rhonda Graves, daughters Leigh Holcomb (Neil) of Roswell, Georgia and Angela Marshall (Bryan) of Harrison, Tennessee. Surviving grandchildren: Kathryn, Grace and Wyatt. Jim will be most remembered for his love of his family and friends. He was an avid sports fan, everything Georgia Tech, the Hawks, recently the Georgia Bulldogs and most importantly the Atlanta Braves.

Memorial services will be held at First Baptist Church Acworth, 4583 Church Street, Acworth, GA on May 24th , 2025 at 11:30 am, with Dr. David M. Joyner officiating. Visitation from 10:30 am to 11:15 am. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue, Kennesaw, GA or the charity of one’s choice.
