JoAnn Rhodes: A Life of Love and Devotion

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of JoAnn Rhodes, who departed peacefully on July 25, 2025. Born on February 16, 1938, JoAnn lived a life rich in love, dedication, and unwavering commitment to her family.

JoAnn was the beloved wife of Frank Rhodes, with whom she shared 67 years of a beautiful and enduring marriage. Their bond was a testament to true partnership and served as an inspiration to all who knew them. She was a cherished mother who instilled in her children the values of kindness, resilience, and the importance of family. Her home was a haven of warmth and laughter, always filled with the comforting aroma of her cooking. A social and vibrant woman, JoAnn was an active member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed working on puzzles, playing cards, and sharing games of dominoes with her loved ones.

Her memory will be treasured by her surviving family: her husband, Frank; her children, Greg Rhodes (Laura) of Lakemont, GA, Doug Rhodes (Aimee) of Kennesaw, GA, and Maria Rhodes of Kennesaw, GA; and her grandchildren, Parker Rhodes of New York, NY, Tyler Rhodes (Breana) of Cartersville, GA, John Rhodes of New York, NY, and Bailey Rhodes (fiancé Seth Kirkpatrick) of Kennesaw, GA. JoAnn will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her gentle and compassionate spirit.

A memorial service to celebrate JoAnn's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at Woodstock Church of Christ, located at 219 Rope Mill Road, Woodstock, GA 30188.

Proverbs 31:25-31 She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: 'Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.' Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Honor her for all that her hands have done, and done and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.

Though she will be missed, her legacy will endure through the lives she touched.
