Johanna Teresa Abernathy

Our precious daughter, Johanna Teresa Abernathy passed away on Sunday, March 22,2026, age 40.

She was born on February 12,1986 in Cartersville, GA.

Johanna was kind, loving and always willing to help others in need. Her heart was so loving. She was a loving Mother, Daughter, Sister, and Friend.

She was a graduate of Woodland High School. After high school, she worked as a Surgical Tech at Redmond Hospital on the Heart Team and then at Cartersville Medical Center in the Labor/Delivery Department. She also worked at Swheat Market as a server.

Surviving is her parents, Roger (Trish) Abernathy, Allison Taylor(Charlie Shepherd). Children, Dalton Abernathy, and Alexis Schilling. Grandmother, Margaret Abernathy. Sisters, Jessica (Jason) Danneman, Nikki(Bradley)Huskins. Uncles, Scott Abernathy(Karen Smith), Phillip(Ginny) Kimsey. Cousins, Daniel(Kellie)Abernathy, Russell Abernathy, Krista( Stephen )Gaines. Her partner, Jeff Dickerson.

Preceded in death by her grandparents, Rawlin Abernathy, John and Sylvia Kimsey.

Funeral services will be at Atco Baptist Church, Cartersville, GA at 2 pm on Sunday, March 29,2026. All Family and Friends are invited to attend.
