John "Jack" Scott Holland, 86, who lived in Cartersville, GA, went home to be with our Lord on Monday, January 19, 2026. Also survived by his younger sister, Susan Holland Other family include step-daughter, Crystal Seeley, as well as grandson Raymond, along with wife Jessica Holland and their two sons Ryder and Tayton.
Born in upstate New York, Jack was adopted as an infant by James and Evelyn Holland of Peninsula, OH. Growing up, Jack loved and spent all his time working on the farm. He started his work career and worked as a truck driver for Morbito Trucking for 35 years until his retirement. Once retired, Jack and Joyce moved to Crossville, Tennessee where they resided for over 25 years in Fairfield Glade. They were active in their church community, and spent a number of years volunteering at Hodges Ministries in Decatur, AL, as well as traveling and working for Southern Baptist Disaster Relief. Jack also volunteered time at the church thrift store (Threads of Hope) helping repair and revitalize furniture and goods for the thrift store to sell. Also avidly involved in antiques, Jack and Joyce had antique booths in various states for over 20+ years. Jack loved the repair and engineering aspect of bringing old furniture pieces back to life. In the summer of 2022, Jack and Joyce moved to Cartersville GA (to be closer to family) and were so pleased to find a God-centered home at Rowland Springs Baptist Church.
