John A. Hutson

On August 16, 1942, in Erie, PA., John Angelo Hutson was welcomed into the lives of his parents John H. and Clara V. (Carlo) Hutson.

On Saturday, April 24, 2026, surrounded by family, John, age 83 of Trotwood, OH, entered peacefully into our Heavenly Father’s arms at the Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, OH.

John was a veteran of the United States Air Force; served as a police officer; worked at General Motors; and was a Hospice Nurse. John was part of the last Dayton School of Practical Nursing class in 1992.

He enjoyed photography, traveling, and helping people in any way he could. Above all the things John loved to do, he valued his time and relationships with family and friends most!

Left to cherish their memories of John, are his two daughters, Adrienne (Hutson) Wadsworth (Vernon) of Troy, OH and Cheryse (Chalk) Meadows of Knoxville, TN, and his two sons, John “Damian” Hutson of Atlanta, GA and Leonard Chalk of Reynoldsburg, OH. Also surviving are seven grandchildren: Gavin Wadsworth, Maci Wadsworth, Talia (Wadsworth) Corry (Joshua), Brandon Hutson, Christopher Chalk (Ashley), Joshua Chalk (Jennifer), and Leonard Chalk (Kim), plus seven great-grandchildren.

John was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 30 years, Anna Chalk-Hutson, granddaughter Valacia Gaynor, and great-grandson, Roman Wesson.

A Celebration of Life in John’s honor will be held at Georgia Funeral Care, 4671 S. Main Street Acworth, GA 30101 on Sunday July 19, 2026, from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm 

Committal will be held at Georgia National cemetery, 1080 Scott Hudgens Dr. Canton, GA 30114 on Monday, July 20th
