Johnathan Lamar Russ

Johnathan Lamar Russ, affectionately known as “Buddha,” was born on October 29, 1976, in Tallahassee, Florida, to Michele Leonard Russ and Vandy Bell Russ. He departed this life on April 23, 2026.

Johnathan was a man who truly embraced life. Known for his witty personality and sharp sense of humor, he had a gift for making others laugh and feel at ease. He found great joy in working on and riding his motorcycle, a passion that reflected his love for freedom and adventure. His presence brought light and laughter to those around him, and his absence will be deeply felt.

He is survived by his three children, Rylan Lee of Minot, ND, Tovelle Laster of Tallahassee, FL , and Abria Russ of Quincey, FL ; and his beloved granddaughter, Rilya Russ of Quincey, FL. He also leaves behind a host of loving family members, including brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, and cousins, all of whom will cherish his memory and miss him dearly.

Johnathan “Buddha” Russ will be remembered for his humor, his love of life, and the joy he brought to everyone who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
