Joseph “Joe” Bowden, age 70, passed away January 8, 2022 at his residence in Dallas, Georgia. Joe was born September 17, 1951 to the late Winston and Ida Bowden in Perry, FL.
He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Jacklyn Bowden; brother, Steve Bowden; children, Kimberly (Jerry) Speed, Richie (Bobbi) Baxter, Jennifer Haire (Bowden), Joseph Bowden, Jr., Leah Holder (Bowden) & Jeffrey Bowden; grandchildren, Kaley (Michael) Singley, Jacob (Lonna) Baxter, Taylor Baxter, Ashley Speed and Chris Speed; great grandchildren, Kingston Elsberry and Henry & Owen Baxter.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Winston and Ida Bowden (Morrison) and sister, Renee Brown (Bowden).
Joe had a love for anything to do with hunting and woodworking. He was always in his shop making game calls or making something for his children and grandchildren. Turkey hunting was always his passion; he loved every minute he got to be out in the woods. Joe was a loving husband, brother, son, father, pawpaw and friend that will be missed dearly. He was loved deeply and his presence will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
The memorial service will be performed at Georgia Funeral Care (4671 S Main St, Acworth, GA 30101) on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 3:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 2:00 PM.
