Joseph Lee “Joe” Jones December 3, 1943 – April 10, 2026

Joseph Lee “Joe” Jones, age 82, passed away on April 10, 2026, at Golden Rose Personal Care Home. He was born on December 3, 1943, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, to the late Daniel and Hope Jones.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Hope Jones.

He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Linda (Cochran) Jones of Marietta, Georgia; his sisters, Jane Frame of Naples, Florida, and Geneva Gregory of Fayetteville, Georgia; his brothers, Samuel Jones of Ringgold, Georgia, and Daniel Jones of Carrollton, Georgia; his daughter, Patricia Ann (Butch) Solomon of Crown Point, Indiana; his bonus daughter, Briana (Darrell) Lowe of Acworth, Georgia; and his bonus son, Robert Chris Briglio of Girard, Ohio. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Joe spent much of his childhood in Merryville, Indiana. In 1966, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he proudly served his country for four years. After his military service, Joe owned and operated his own construction company before relocating to Georgia. There, he built a long and dedicated career as a heavy equipment operator, later expanding his skills into welding and fabrication. Joe was truly a man of many talents.

In his free time, Joe enjoyed camping, fishing, and traveling. He had a special passion for classic cars and took great pride in restoring several throughout his life.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 24, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. at Piedmont Church, 570 Piedmont Road NE, Marietta, GA 30066. The service will be officiated by Pastor Dr. Ike Reighard.
