It is with deep sadness that I share the passing of my beloved wife, Kathy Annette Anderson, who passed away on October 29, 2026. A devoted wife, homemaker, and proud mother, Kathy left behind a legacy of boundless love and warmth.

Affectionately known as "Net Net" by her father, "Chatty Kathy" by her Uncle Don Ross, and "Dolly" by me, Kathy’s infectious smile and beautiful brown eyes brought joy to everyone around her. She truly lit up any room she walked into.

Kathy was born on April 13, 1962. She grew up on 45th Street in Des Moines before moving to Trail Ridge and attending Johnston High School, where she met her best friend, Diane Easterly. She possessed a deep passion for art and reading and spent cherished early years enjoying the quiet comfort of her grandparents' farm in Macksburg, Iowa alongside her beloved cousin, Pam Ross. Throughout her life, she found immense joy in the company of her dogs, Penny and Muffet, and her current companions, Bella Boo and Charlie.

We met in 1986 in Mesa, Arizona, beginning a lifelong journey together that reached 39 years this month. When I first opened the door and saw her, I was completely captivated. It was love at first sight; she was the most beautiful girl I had ever seen, she had me hook, line, and sinker before I even knew her name.

After raising our boys and ensuring they finished school, Kathy built a successful career as a manager for Corporate McDonald's, Amoco Split Second, BP Corporation, and QuikTrip, in addition to running a business on eBay. She also took great pride in anonymously helping families in need enjoy Christmas.

Kathy is survived by her loving husband, Paul Mitchell Anderson; her devoted mother, Jeanette Lorraine McKee; her sons, Victor C.D. Anderson (Kayla), Cody Mitchell Anderson (Jenn), and Matthew Wagner; her brothers, Steve McKee and Douglas McKee; her sister, Julie Oswinkler; her dear grandson, Winter Phoenix Anderson; her daughters-in-law, Kayla and Jenn Anderson; her sister-in-law, Penny Summers; her Aunt Ora, who turned 104 this year; her brother-in-law, Ken Oswinkler; and many cherished nephews and nieces.

She now rejoins her predeceased loved ones, including her father, Melvin McKee; her Aunt Annie Ross; her father- and mother-in-law, Claude and Pauline Anderson; her sister-in-law, Pamela Green; and her brother-in-law, Jerry Summers.

Kathy will soon be driven back to Iowa for a final funeral service with family and friends. Details regarding the service will be shared once finalized.
