Kristina Lynn (Wilson) Hickerson passed away peacefully from complications of dementia on Wednesday, August 9, 2023. She was under hospice care at her daughter's home. She is now with her lord and savior Jesus Christ. She was dearly loved and revered by her family and friends and will be missed by all who knew her.
Kris was born on April 16, 1948 in Wilmington, DE to the late James Herbert Wilson and Rosita Lesure Wilson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother James Herbert Wilson Jr. She graduated from Claymont High School in 1966 and Goldey Beacom College in 1968. As the wife of a career Air Force officer, she lived virtually around the globe and worked for the US Department of defense at each duty station where her family resided. She retired from Dobbins AFB, GA in 2009.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Ronald A Hickerson Jr. of Woodstock, GA, daughter Anissa L. Hickerson of Cartersville, GA and son Brent M. Hickerson of Gilbert, AZ; three grandchildren, Aiden, Tyler, and Connor; brothers Wayne, Craig, and Scott, sister Tracey and several nieces and nephews.
Private Memorial Services will be held on September 7, 2023 at Georgia Funeral Care Chapel in Acworth, GA. Chaplain Portia Howard will officiate the ceremony commemorating and celebrating Kris' life legacy.
