Lisa Charlene Miller (Mills), 68, of Adairsville, Georgia, passed away peacefully at home on January 8, 2026. Born June 2, 1957, in Atlanta, Georgia, Lisa was the daughter of Thomas Mills (Inez, late) and the late Barbara Neal.
Lisa grew up in Conyers, Georgia, and attended Rockdale High School. She later earned her real estate license and built a working life marked by versatility and determination, with a diverse career spanning military equipment contracting, real estate, and postal distribution. In the 1970s, while living in Alaska, one of her favorite jobs was working in a music store—something she always remembered fondly.
Lisa attended North Point Church and found joy in simple, meaningful things: gardening, thrift and estate sales, black-and-white movies, and—most recently—beginning to travel. She never knew a stranger and was always willing to help, no matter the need. Loving by nature, she was often the first to show up and care for the people she loved. Her grandgirls were her pride and joy. She also loved her cat, Lily, deeply.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kurt Miller. Lisa is survived by her two sons, Chris Kelly and Nick Miller, and Nick’s spouse, Alexia; six grandchildren; her sisters, Marla Kirby and Cathy Stancil; and her brother.
A small Celebration of Life will be held with family and close friends.
