Margaret Gravley

Margaret Gravley, age 85, passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2024. Margaret was born on July 10, 1938, in Calhoun, Georgia to the late John D. (Spud) Hopkins and Mary Goswick Hopkins.

Margaret was a wonderful mama, mother, grandma, mawmaw, and Miss Margaret.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Norris Gravley; sisters, Johnnie Mae Chatman and Lois Brawner; and brother, Robert Hopkins. Margaret is survived by her children Lamar Gravley and Tammy Gravley Decker (Michael); grandchildren Diane Bruce Alred (Patrick) and Brett Decker (Lena); great grandchild, Weston Alred; and brother Carlton Hopkins.

Margaret was a Christian and was a member of Bartow Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She loved her family and did everything she could for them. We know she is thrilled to be reunited with her husband Norris. She probably made him biscuits and gravy first thing.

A memorial will be held Friday February 2, 2024 beginning at 12:00 at Bartow Cumberland Presbyterian Church located at 2851 Highway 140, Rydal, Georgia. Friends and family are cordially invited.
