Marielena LaMagna

Marielena LaMagna, a beloved mother, sister, friend, and United States Marine Corps veteran, passed away peacefully on 30 April 2024 at the age of 82 in Suwanee, Georgia.

Born 17 July 1941 in Cincinnati, Ohio, Marielena was known for her unwavering kindness, boundless compassion, and love for her family and friends.

She touched the lives of all who knew her with her gentle spirit and genuine love for others can be remembered by her distinct acts of care, faith in God, and appreciation for the gifts that life gives us.

Marielena dedicated her life to serving those in need. As a devoted volunteer at her churches throughout her life, she tirelessly worked to help others.

Her selflessness and generosity knew no bounds, and she leaves behind a legacy that will continue to inspire others for generations to come. She was loved by all that had the honor to know her.

Marielena cherished her family above all else. She was a devoted mother, nurturing her children with unconditional love, support, and mentoring. Her home was always filled with warmth and laughter, and her family will forever treasure the countless memories they shared together. 

In addition to her role as a loving mother, Marielena was a loyal friend to so many with her genuine compassion and empathy endeared to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed by so many friends, whose lives were enriched by her presence.

Though Marielena may no longer walk beside us, her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were touched by her love. Her memory will be cherished always.

Marielena is survived by her oldest daughter; Mary LaMagna-Arnold and her husband Kevin, youngest daughter; Samantha LaMagna, and son Anthony LaMagna and wife Angela.

Additionally, her grandchildren; Jordan LaMagna-Meneghetti and her husband Chris with great grandson Henry, Jonathan LaMagna and his wife Andrea Madrid, Kagen LaMagna, and Kailey Rodie with great grandson Rowyn and great granddaughter Scotlyn. Additionally, her brothers Steven Varble, Dale Varble, and Tom Varble.

She was preceded in death by her former husband Sebastian LaMagna, father Charles Varble, mother Edith Varble, brother Kenny Varble, and sister Barbara Wetzel

A memorial funeral service to celebrate Marielena's life will be held on 20 May 2024 at 0900 at the Georgia National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, a cause that was dear to Marielena's heart.
