Mike Giles

Mike Giles, 67, of Kennesaw, GA passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2023. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Linda Giles, of Dawson, GA.

Mike is survived by his beautiful, loving wife of 46 years, Ellen, his children, Jessica O’Connell and Michael (Meredith) Giles, his grandchildren Rhiannon, Tristan, and Sylvia, his sisters Joy Moreland and Lynn (Richard) Outlaw, and several nieces and nephews.

Mike was a hard working husband, a devoted dad and grandpa, an entrepreneur, an inventor (if he couldn’t buy it, he just created it), a highly skilled carpenter, a problem solver, and a friend like no other. He was given a nickname, Mr. Wikipedia, as he usually always knew the answer to whatever question or problem anyone had. He was like EF Hutton, when he talked, everyone listened. He was our rock. If you ever met him, you remember him.

Please join us for a Celebration of Mike’s life on Friday, September 8, 2023, at 5pm, at Georgia Funeral Care in Acworth, GA. The family will receive visitors beginning at 4pm.

In lieu of flowers, please make a kind donation to a charity of your choice. (Really, please don’t send lilies to the family due to allergies!)
